Hats for Pelotonia: The Goods

Here's how it works. I will post pictures of the hats I've made here. I will regularly be updating the inventory, so if you don't see anything you like right now, please come back in a few days and see if there's anything new that tickles your fancy! I'm going through my entire yarn stash to make as many hats as possible.

Toddlers/Small Child Hats:

1. Purple Wave (I don't have a child-sized model head. Please ignore my cat wine bottle). =) The edge of the hat is trimmed with a slightly scalloped edge to give it a bit of flair. Dimensions: 6" from crown to bottom edging; 18" around. It does have some stretch to it.

2. Marshmallow. Made with Wool Ease yarn (super thick, 80% acrylic, 20% wool. Washer and dryer safe). Dimensions: 5" crown to bottom edge. 18" around. Some stretch, but not a lot.

3. Red Hot. Dimensions 5 1/2" crown to bottom edge, 16 1/4 around.

4. I got the blues - child. Dimensions: 5 1/4" crown to bottom edge, 15 1/4" around. Lots of stretch to this one.

Somewhere between child and adult

5. Just Meshin' around - Taupe. Dimensions: 5 3/4" crown to edge, 18 1/4" around. This one is a 50% cotton/50% acrylic blend and is machine washer and dryer safe. While the stitch allows for some stretch, the bottom edge doesn't. I can fit it on my head (and mine is 21 3/4" around), but it's not very comfy. I'd say if you like a form fitting hat, someone with a head that measures 18-20" around will find this comfy.

6. Salmon scallop. Dimensions: 6 3/4" crown to bottom edge, 19 1/2" around. As you can see from the picture, it can fit around an adult head, but it's not very long.

Adult Hats

7. Mardi Gras Jr. Dimensions: 7 1/4" crown to bottom edge, 21 1/2" around. This hat is comfy and pretty. A variegated yarn going from gold to purple to green. This one is the "jr" because it is 1 row shorter than the Sr. That's the only difference. Super Bulky yarn weight. This is a cotton/wool/acrylic/polyamide blend.

8. Mardi Gras Sr. Dimensions: 7 3/4" crown to bottom edge, 21 1/2" around. This hat is comfy and pretty. A variegated yarn going from gold to purple to green. This one is the "sr" because it is 1 row longer than the jr. That's the only difference. Super Bulky yarn weight. This is a cotton/wool/acrylic/polyamide blend.

9. Snowflake. Dimensions: 7 1/2" crown to bottom edge, 22 1/4" around. This is a super bulky weight yarn. Wool-ease, so it's an 80% acrylic/20% wool blend. Washer and dryer safe. This will keep you nice and warm!

10. Just grapey. Dimensions: 7 1/4" crown to bottom edge, 22" around. This one has some stretch to it. Lightweight yarn so it provides warmth, but won't overheat you.

11. Cream of the crop. Dimensions: 7 1/2" crown to edge, 25 1/4" around. This is a big hat. It's super warm, made with super bulky wool-ease yarn (80% acrylic, 20% wool). Washer and dryer safe.

12. C'est la vie blanc. This is a slouch/beret sort of mutation. =) The edging is 25" around. The yarn for this hat is a little stiff, but will soften up with a toss around in the washing machine.

13. Ribbit Ribbing. Dimensions: 7 3/4" crown to bottom edging, 23 1/2" around. Soft, stretchy yarn.

14. Just Meshin' around - Olive. Dimenions: 6 3/4" crown to bottom edge, 19 1/2" around. This yarn/stitch has stretch to it. It fits me just right (again, my head is 21 3/4" around).

15. Charcoal Flair. Dimensions: 7 1/4" crown to bottom edge, 21" around. Has a flared bottom. Really light cotton blend yarn 50% cotton/50% acrylic.

16. I got the blues - adult. Dimensions: 7 1/2" crown to bottom edge. 20" around. Lots of stretch. Very comfy 20% wool/80% acrylic blend. Just like the child's hat made with the same yarn, only bigger.
